The Trossachs is a scenic region of woods, hills and lochs, the former frontier of the ancient worlds of Roman, Pict, Strathclyde Britons and Irish saints. This excursion has a boat trip to an island, a walk along the shores of a loch and culminates with a hike up to a ruined Pictish hillfort.

Itinerary for Trossachs Tour & Walk:

-        Boat trip to Inchmahome, the island priory on Lake Menteith, former Celtic retreat of St Colman (closed between November to the end of March).

-        Walk around the whole island.

-        Picnic Lunch - please bring your own.

-        Drive to Walk the shores of another loch. 

- Hike up to Fillan’s chapel and upto Dundurn ruined Pictish Hillfort

Pickup: 09:30   Drop off: 18:30
